In 2025, Cray Valley’s production site in Carling, France, successfully renewed its ISCC PLUS certification, marking another important milestone in our journey toward sustainability. Since obtaining the certification in 2022, Cray Valley has remained focused on our long-term commitment to sustainable development.
Our ISCC PLUS-certified liquid polybutadiene grades and pure monomer tackifying resins, Cleartack®, Ricon® and Krasol®, are produced at TotalEnergies’ site in Carling, France, using a mass balance approach. This approach enables the increase of renewable materials in the value chain of customer formulations while maintaining the highest level of performance.
The ISCC PLUS-certified bio-feedstock originally comes from vegetable oil or used cooking oil processed at TotalEnergies’ biorefinery in La Mède, France.
“ISCC PLUS is a global certification system that ensures the traceability and sustainability of raw materials through the entire value chain, from feedstocks to end-products. At Cray Valley, our teams are committed to achieving the highest standards of sustainability,” said Olivier Defrain, Europe regulatory and sustainability manager at Cray Valley.
“Cray Valley aims to accelerate our customers’ transition to low-carbon and environmentally responsible products through innovative and reliable solutions,” said Lionel Riou, global business development manager at Cray Valley.
“By 2030, we aim to supply more than 30% of our total volume as sustainable resins,” said Thierry Lebriat, global head of sales at Cray Valley.
