Ricon® Low Vinyl Content Homopolymers

Ricon 130

A low molecular weight homopolymer of polybutadiene The liquid polymer is suitable for use in peroxide and sulfur-cured elastomers where it acts as a non-extractable plasticizer.

  • Non-extractable process aid
  • Excellent hydrophobicity
  • Enhanced winter traction of tires
  • Abrasion resistance

Ricon 131

Similar to the Ricon® 130 but an economical replacement when higher viscosity is acceptable.

  • Low Tg
  • Low viscosity liquid polymer
  • Plasticizing resin
  • Low temperature flexibility

Ricon 134

Similar to Ricon 130® & Ricon® 131 but allows even higher viscosity.

  • Non-extractable process aid
  • Excellent hydrophobicity
  • Enhanced winter traction of tires
  • Abrasion resistance

Ricon 138

Ricon® 138 is a very low molecular weight liquid polybutadiene, with moderate vinyl functionality for peroxide reactivity, high hydrophobicity and excellent processing characteristics. Its polymeric structure gives excellent compatibility in saturated and unsaturated elastomers, especially olefinic-based elastomers and thermoplastic resins.

  • Non-extractable process aid
  • Electrical insulator
  • Excellent dielectric properties
  • Low temperature flexibility
  • Coagent for elastomer cure
  • Good hardness
  • Scorch protection
  • Good compression set
  • Abrasion resistance
  • High tear strength

Ricon 300

Ricon® 300 is a low molecular weight, liquid polybutadiene resin. This resin is suitable for use in peroxide and sulfur-cured elastomers where it acts as a non-extractable plasticizer and process aid. Its polymeric structure gives excellent compatibility in saturated and unsaturated elastomers, especially olefinic-based elastomers and thermoplastic resins.

  • Non-extractable process aid
  • Electrical insulator
  • Excellent dielectric properties
  • Excellent hydrophobicity
  • Low temperature flexibility
  • Enhanced winter traction of tires
  • Abrasion resistance
  • High tear strength
