Vincent Greff

Cray Valley Spotlight

Vincent Greff

Technical Rubber Manager

Vincent Greff has an impressive background that led him to his current role at Cray Valley. He studied chemistry in Strasbourg, France and graduated with a Master’s degree in Polymer Engineering. He joined Cray Valley in May 2021 as a lab technician with the R&D team, specializing in liquid resin synthesis and rubber processes, primarily for the tire industry, and was promoted to the position of Technical Rubber Manager in December 2022.

What initially attracted Vincent to join Cray Valley was the opportunity to work on tomorrow’s mobility directly with tire manufacturers. Being passionate about cars from a young age, he finds contributing to the automotive industry through Cray Valley quite exciting.

Vincent actively plays a role in Cray Valley’s culture of hands-on customer support by providing the necessary assistance through product portfolio presentations, sharing technical papers, and managing internal R&D studies. He collaborates closely with the R&D laboratory to ensure the best outcomes and effectively communicates the results to customers.

From product presentations to assisting with tests – and eventually witnessing the implementation of Cray Valley’s products in new tire designs – Vincent takes pride in seeing the outcome of the collaborative efforts.

One standout project Vincent worked on was the Tire Technology Show in Hannover in March 2023. During the event, Cray Valley had a booth where team members showcased silane-terminated diene resins for electric vehicles, and Vincent delivered a presentation on this technology.

His fascination with polymers began during his childhood, inspired by a cartoon featuring the word “polymerization.” This interest motivated him to pursue polymers as his primary area of study, ultimately leading him to the rewarding career he now enjoys at Cray Valley.

Outside of work, Vincent enjoys cars, motorsports and sim racing (auto racing simulation).
